The patent
search is an important part of the patent process.
The search ensures that there are no other products
in the patent office that resembles the idea the
inventor has. It is a protection for all parties
so that unnecessary expenses are not put into a
patent that is already in the patent office.
The patent
search should be performed by a qualified individual
who is familiar with the patent process such as
a patent attorney, patent agent or a professional
engineer who knows the working of the patent office.
The patent search will be completed and submitted
to the inventor with recommendation of a name for
the invention to assist in the proper title which
will also help to expedite the patent through the
patent office. An internet search will also be completed
to ensure there are no products on the market that
resembles or is identical to the inventor's idea.
